Ambassadors will showcase the incredible work of NHS and NASC members through user-generated content strategically featured on our social media channels. By leveraging their existing skills and creativity, the group will produce authentic content that highlights schools and student leaders. This group will also inform the development of future video content, ensuring our social media presence remains engaging, relevant, and inspiring. These Ambassadors must be NHS or NASC students in an active chapter or council in good standing.

FOR ADVISERS

These 12 NASC advisers will collaborate to develop tailored resources, practical tools, and professional development opportunities for new advisers to thrive in their roles, in turn, enhancing the student leadership program and fostering a supportive, well-equipped community for advisers at all stages of their journey. These Ambassadors will be expected to attend scheduled Zoom meetings, contribute to group discussions, and complete pre-work and post-work assigned by their group leader.

These 12 National Honor Society (NHS) and National Junior Honor Society (NJHS) advisers will provide valuable input on the greatest needs and challenges faced by advisers, helping to shape relevant resources and content. As Ambassadors, they will contribute ideas, assist in the creation of practical tools, and collaborate to deliver meaningful support for advisers. Their expertise will ensure that advisers are equipped to succeed. Monthly Zoom meetings at 7 p.m. ET from March to July are required, as well as some pre-work and post-work as assigned.

FOR SCHOOL LEADERS

These 12 school leader (assistant principal and principal) Ambassadors will contribute powerful video testimonials and inspiring stories that highlight the challenges, triumphs, and everyday realities faced by school leaders and teachers. Through these narratives, they will raise awareness of current issues in education, celebrate successes, and motivate others within the education field. Together, these Ambassadors will inspire, inform, and connect educators nationwide.

Ambassadors must be current school leaders in school buildings (assistant, associate, dean, head, executive principals). They will be required to participate in online meetings or discussions and create video content for NASSP social media platforms.

These 12 school leaders will provide valuable feedback on the development of our new online community for school leaders and contribute to building a comprehensive resource library. They will play a critical role in shaping the platform to ensure it meets the needs of educational leaders. Ambassadors must be current school building leaders. They will be expected to attend six Zoom meetings from March through May at 3 p.m. ET and must complete pre-work or post-work as assigned.

ABOUT THE AMBASSADOR PROGRAM

The NASSP Ambassador Program supports our mission to develop and empower courageous school and student leaders. Our goal is to help Ambassadors—and all students—reach their full potential by offering meaningful support, opportunities, and guidance.

Launched in 2022, the program has engaged principals, advisers, and students in key projects that elevate leadership voices and shape NASSP’s work. Ambassadors have contributed to national surveys, policy forums, recognition programs, and resource development.

Since then, we’ve continued to grow the program, using Ambassador feedback to improve our services, resources, and events for school leaders everywhere.
